Lately it seems that no matter what event we go to, there is usually food involved. Junior Leagues’ Kids In The Kitchen Port Orange event was no different. It did however have quite a twist! This event not only focused on healthy eating, but on how children themselves can even participate in healthy eating habits. This year the Kids In The Kitchen Port Orange event was hosted at the Pavilion right off of interstate 95.
This was a great location for an event like this! The Pavilion hosts a weekly farmers market which makes them a great first stop on a journey to eating healthy. When we first got there, it was a bit overwhelming. There was plenty of parking since this is a really big venue, but because of the layout, there was no clear entrance to the event. A large stage which featured cooking demonstrations throughout the day was sprawled out throughout the complex. A local radio host was doing a great job of moving thing along with dance demonstrations and information about the vendors that sponsored and were the Kids In The Kitchen Port Orange event.
