Thanks for the Frugal Florida Fun Tip Val! Lets hang out by the lake! Lake Eola Orlando that is. This annual event looks like it will be jam packed with all sorts of things from food, to a huge children’s play area. I have never been to the Lake Eola Orlando Spring Fiesta, but would love to hear more about it from people who actually go. On quite a few occasions, I have had the opportunity to stroll around the lake and this a a really nice venue right in the heart of downtown Orlando. The centerpiece of the park is a beautiful fountain right in the middle of the lake. At night time the fountain lights up with alternating colors in a beautiful show of light and water. If walking around the lake isn’t quite what you want to do, be sure to checkout the swan boa rentals. These pedal powered boats are a big hit on a breezy day and give a different perspective of the the park as well. This event is FREE and is pet friendly! As always, leashed and non aggressive animals are welcome so long as you clean up after them. There are a handful of “puppy clean up stations” located around Lake Eola, but you may still want to bring a few of your own clean up bags just in case. Stroll around Lake Eola Orlando and check out over 200 arts and crafts booths as well as booths of local sponsors. Even if you’re not really into crafts, you might just get inspired to make something yourself!
Due to the highly expected turnout, as well as being in the city center you may wish to park in one of the many local parking garages and take public transit or stroll down to the park on foot.
