Orlando Wetlands Festival:
If you’re in the Orlando area this weekend, Come and enjoy the Orlando Wetlands Festival on Saturday, February 21, 2015, from 9am-3pm at Fort Christmas Park. The Orlando Wetlands Festival is an opportunity to celebrate the Orlando Wetlands Park, the City’s 1,650 acre wetland oasis. We went last year and was surprised at just how large the Wetlands festival was! Activities include: Wilderness hikes led by Florida Trail Association , Guided bus tours and Hay Rides around the wetland berms, Live music, A magic show, Wildlife shows featuring alligators, snakes, birds and many others. Interactive children’s activities such as Out-On-A-Limb kids tree climbing, and of course Bounce houses ! This event, including parking is totally FREE to checkout. Sea World’s Praise Wave:
Now in it’s second week, the Sea World Praise Wave continues with musical guest Stephen Curtis Chapman on Saturday. This Christian music concert is included free with your regular park admission and annual pass holders can enjoy this concert as well!
Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras:
If Christina music isn’t really your thing checkout Kelly Clarkson Universal Studio’s Mardi Gras celebration this Saturday as well. Again annual pass holders can enjoy this concert without additional ticket purchases. Stick around for their always-fun Mardi Gras parade and sample some real authentic cuisine straight from New Orleans!
Lake Worth Street Painting Festival:
If you’re looking for a more artistic adventure be sure to checkout the Annual Lake Worth Street Painting Festival! Watch as over 400 Artists use the pavement as canvas to transform downtown Lake Worth into a temporary outdoor museum of original art and masterpiece reproductions. See the streets come alive as the artists transform the pavement into works of art. It happens every February in downtown Lake Worth, Florida. This FREE event starts at 10am both days, but if your schedule allows, you’ll get to see more of the completed artwork on Sunday. Parking can be a bit of a pain at this event, so you may want to take the free shuttle to the festival! A FREE Festival Shuttle will be making a continuous loop from Palm Beach State College, Lake Worth Campus and the Lake Worth Tri-Rail Station to downtown from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM Saturday and Sunday February 21 & 22. Visitors can take Tri-Rail to the festival or park their car at Palm Beach State College, Lake Worth Campus and ride the shuttle. Self-Parking and Valet Parking are also available throughout the downtown area.
Bay Area Renaissance Festival:
Continuing now through March, the Bay Area Renaissance Festival is happening at MOSI in Tampa! Back for it’s 37th season, you won’t want to miss the fun and excitement of this Renaissance Festival. Go back in time to celebrate everything medieval complete with jousting, knights on horseback, and a great variety of family friendly activities. Tickets are $19.95 for adults and $11.95 for kids ages 5-12. Kids 4 and under are FREE. You can save $3 per ticket by stopping by your local Walgreens to purchase your tickets in advance. You can also save $5 this weekend by bringing 4 “Shelf stable” food item to share with the local food pantry. Parking is always FREE so come enjoy this festival rain or shine from 10am to 6pm.
American Victory Ship:
If you’re in the Tampa area and want to enjoy something historic, just not quite medieval, then bring your family to the American Victory Ship! Being one of only 4 operable WWII ships in the US, the American Victory Ship is an incredible mix of living museum and an opportunity for self exploration as you can wander up and down the decks of history. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for veterans and children ages 4-12. Children 3 and under are FREE. The American Victory ship is open from 10am to 5pm Saturday and Noon to 5pm on Sunday.
Osceola County Fair:
If you love the fair and just can’t wait until the upcoming Central Florida Fair, you can always experience the Osceola County Fair at Osecola Heritage Park in Kissimmee this weekend! Friday February 20th, is student day sponsored by the Kissimmee Utility Authority, where K through 12 students will receive FREE admission. Arrive early with your little ones to purchase Unlimited ride bands for $25 which will keep them occupied until 7PM. Saturday is Family Fun Day with all day armbands coming in at $35.
General admission tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 5-11 as well as seniors 60 and older. Children 4 and under are FREE.
Opening at noon on Sunday, you can take $2 off adult admission or $1 off child or senior admission with a non perishable canned food item donation at the gate. Wristbands are again available all day for $35 each.
Central Florida Fair:
